without a trace
i was trying to think of a catchy title for this post, but i couldn’t. i couldn’t because it’s such a serious topic…

i eventually chose “without a trace” because it rang true….for the missing people in our community. as we very well know, in the “light-expressioned” community - the minute any of their own becomes missing (even the family dog) amber alerts, 48 hour specials, special news reports are immediately broadcast. that’s not neccessarily the case in our reality. our people go missing every day and there is not ‘nary a trace of their existence in mainstream media. why is that?
well, here is a sista in the brown blogging forum that’s making a difference. she’s not looking for anything except our support. stop by her site to see if you recognize any of the under-reported missing black and missing women in our community. maybe if you notice that there’s a person in your hometown - get the word out.
i wish i had a catchy way to end this post, but i don’t. just visit the site…link her to your blogrolls so that more of our readers know who she is and take time out to stop by. get the word out.

thanks for the link
